Kinja'd!!!

So I was walking home the other day, and as I walked on the sidewalk minding my own business, I started to hear the familiar heavily distorted bass of the bro cult's favorite music type, dubstep.

It came from a bro, driving one of these, a G37 coupe. His bro windows were open, and he was wearing bro sunglasses (on a non-bro cloudy day) and a bro flat-brimmed bro cap. We made bro eye contact as he slowly simultaneously brought the bro car to a stop and turned his bro cap backwards.

Yes, this did happen.

Now, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! got me thinking: damn, this car is almost entirely driven by douchebags . It's not even just the coupe, it applies to the sedan, the old G35 coupe/sedan, and even the Maxima. Everyone that tailgates my learner's permit ass, or my dad, is driving one of these. Everyone that swerves through traffic through imaginary chicanes is driving one of these. You get my point.

Kinja'd!!!

Maybe this is just a NY thing. Anyways Oppo, what's the douchebro car in your area?

Yeah that's obviously true, but there must be a pandemic of douchebros driving something in particular?

Bro trucks x 10

Stacks, stacks and more stacks or a 7" tip on a stock deisel exhaust.

Bully dog tuner in said bro truck so he can "roll coal" while idling at a stop light....

Welcome to MD and pretty much anywhere in the USA

In Vermont Douchebros are almost always seen driving either STIs (real or otherwise, you know what I mean) or Dodge or Chevy trucks. Almost never do you find a VT Douchebro in an F(x)50.

NoVa suburbs aka the land of six figure salary parents so it's a wide variety of trucks (not all bro'd), poorly modified camaros (think matte black hood, cheap exhaust, pinstriped wheels), the many G coupes, and last but not least the modded Hondas.

Surprisingly enough, German owners are pretty good for the most part. I've never been cut off by an M3 or a C63. An S5 has never tailgated me.

The WRX/STI is the flagship brocar here in Utah. It's my main deterrent from wanting one.

I was about to say here on LI these are literally exclusively driven by douche baggy bros, then I saw your NY comment. Perhaps it is just an NY thing. It's like these douches graduate from tCs to Toyobarus to G35/37s.

In my area of Hong Kong, a douchebro car is usually an (semi) expensive one. I've seen everything from Audi TTs to Ferrari F430s. I've also seen C63s and more recently, CLA45s.

In fact, I once lost my temper at an Audi TT driver would not stop beeping. There was gridlock and he wasn't just laying on his horn, he was pulsing it. Everyone was looking at him as if he was swinging a dead baby, so I told him to shut up. He tried to shout back at me, bro cap, swag and all that, but superior and fluent use of the English language soon shut him up.

Another time was when this massive douche of an F430 driver half assed parked his car onto the kerb. Yes, he launched his Ferrari (probably paid by his parent's money) half onto a kerb. One tyre was actually losing pressure. I caught him trying to squeeze two girls inside and I tried telling him (albeit a bit harshly) that one of his tyres was losing air. He immediately went all big chested, "do you wanna go" on me. He declined to have a fight (thankfully) because we were right outside a bank and there were about four security cameras pointed at us. I was actually tempted to call the police as he drove off, since 3 crammed in a Ferrari is obviously quite dangerous.

The douchebro car of choice in my neck of the woods (south jersey) seems to be either late model altimas or mustangs

I wanted one too until I realized that yep these are driven by maniacs. On my drive to Vegas from L.A this weekend to EDC there was a bro with his EDC "Pull me over I have drugs in the car" mural on the back window driving down the right lane with the middle finger out the window high in the air doing 100 MPH swerving between trucks doing 55 MPH and everyone else doing about 75MPH.

I hung back waiting for a crash that fortunately didn't happen but scary none the less. A friend of mine had a G35 sedan that his dad gave him and got pulled over doing double the speed limit and lost his car and a massive fine luckily avoided due to daddy's friends in the police force, once he got it back he wrecked the engine running out of oil at least there is one less on the road to kill us all

The Maxima is a weird one... it's driven by Bro's in the northeast, and almost exclusively by black women in the southeast. The midwest and west, it's favored by middle class outside sales consultants.

But the Infiniti G series is definitely a Bro-favorite when they're not driving a Bro truck.

Typed long rant, and deleted it before posting. Dubstep doesn't make someone a douche. Nor does the car. its the douche what makes a douche....

With that out of the way, here in KS/MI there aren't as many douche nozzles as there are just bad drivers. Everything from a sweet old lady, to a grown ass man, or any other age. No blinkers, they cut lanes and often multiple at a time... Ugh. And they drive anything, Hyundai's, BMW's, Altimas, STIs, you name it.

This is a perfect assessment of the situation.

Confession: I really wanted a G35 coupe before I bought the 350z.

also 350z are very Bro'y now too. Thats a big part of why I got rid of it.

Yeah, the Z car is one of the "single guy who just got his first big job" cars. Unfortunately, old cars in that category trickle down to "bro who wants to pretend he's successful" levels.
